I kind of admire Mr. Putin but these statement missions are irritating.

Using the military to fly by Sarah Palin's window for some naked cougar shots?

Before Monday's flight near Alaska, the last time Russian bombers flew near the U.S. was July 4, 2015, when a pair of Russian bombers flew off the coasts of Alaska and California, coming as close as 40 miles to Mendocino, Calif.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called then-President Barack Obama to wish him a happy Independence Day while the bombers cruised the California coastline.

To those of us that grew up in the 70s and 80s, this is such ado about nothing.

Back then, these flights and intercepts were a daily happening and literally nobody cared.

So does Trump. He admires Putin, Erdrogan, Duterte, Xi. What's not to like and admire about authoritarian dictators who trample civil liberties and murder dissenters?

You realize this has ben going on for decades correct? It's quite normal and only made unusual by the press since there are worldwide tensions with the U.S. and Russia geographically and politically.

There are 9 US Air Force bases in Alaska. 9!

You think Russian bomber pilots would put themselves at risk when they see a pair of F-22 Raptor escorts intercepting them? Neh, me neither.

Nothing to see here.

And again last night. This time 2 SU-35 fighters were in escort of the cold war era bomber.
