Idon't think Joey Freshwater could handle the girls of Oxford AND coaching, it'd be a bad idea.

The Owlette welcoming committee in Boca isn't too bad either.

In other news, how would Ole Miss fans feel about Mark Hudspeth if Coach Freeze were to be fired?

MS native. Delta State grad. Good ties from North AL, to MS, to Louisiana. Relatively successful coaching career as HC and OC.

He just lived through the investigation of the former ULL regime and was cleared of any wrong doing.

Expectation management being what it is given the difficulty of success during significant probation, I think he'd be a great choice.

Solid coach to simply guide the program through what could be a very tough time... outcome pending of course. Certainly a better choice than Bama made with Price and Shula when in a similar situation.

If you don't think he knew exactly who he was hiring and why he made the hire then I have some ocean front property in Iowa to sell you. Everyone in SEC recruiting circles knew about Wayne County and if you check into the records you would be shocked at some student athletes that attended other SEC schools took their ACT there.

I believe the shine is off Hudspeth - his SEC ship sailed when in 2014 Dan Mullen was 4-6 with two games to go and beat both Arkansas (0-8 in the SEC) and Ole Miss in overtime to make it to .500 and a Liberty Bowl where the legend of Dak Prescott was created. They had Hud coming off back to back to back 9-4 seasons ready to go and he was a MSU fan. In a way, its our fault Hud isn't already a SEC coach.

He's now had back to back losing seasons (4-8 and 6-7) with two 5th place finishes in a conference of declining quality. I think you'll see him wrap up his head coaching career either retiring or getting fired from ULaLa

If we hire anyone local it would be Jay Hopson at Southern. Ole Miss grad and former assistant. However, it doesn't matter, Freeze is not getting fired.
