Ole Miss has a natty in football recognized by the same shady NCAA that is currently burning the Ole Miss football program to the ground.

NCAA recognizes it as an "unofficial" championship. They also recognize Minnesota as winning it the same year as unofficial.

Does this include tennis since that's also played on a court?

when state was in the CWS final, i vaguely remember the announcers talking about how they were 1 of 4 Div 1 schools to have never won a national championship. i believe kansas state was one of the others

Ole miss does not have several national titles in football. Maybe 1 of those 3 titles they claim is actually recognized by the ncaa. If lsu wanted to claim national titles we could have like 7. We don't need to though because we have a trophy that the ncaa gives to the national champion which makes it legit. Ole miss is a joke.

While titles won on the field/court are obviously more meaningful, I wonder how the conversation changes if we actually call them all what they are: "Recognition of Best Team in Country." That's essentially what "National Title" means, after all. Obviously they're stretching by voting teams as national champions ex post facto because there's no way to prove they were the best, but, then, sometimes teams who do win on the court/field aren't the best either.
