I absolutely do. I believe the most effective offenses use a pass run feature at qb.

Doing this mean that double coverage is problematic at best.

The throws the spread qb's get are just plain easier because they are also run threats.

With Eason, a defense plays 11 on 10 downfield. Against Johnson a defense plays 11 on 11. Basically you want a tall guy if you use a dropback pro set scheme, with an arm that can make all the throws, and who can go through all those reads and checkdowns with a positronic brain.

And that is just plain harder to get than Lamar Jackson kind of athletes. And it really doesn't work as well either.

I think the question you guys (Georgia) needs to ask yourself, is whether an offense that tries to emulate Stanford and Michigan harder to stop than one like Louisville or Clemson. Or Ohio State, or the Baylor of a few years ago.

If you guys go on a roll and win a couple of East titles in a row, it will be because of the talent you have available, not the fact you are optimally using all that talent.

Not going to happen, but it would have been very interesting if Urban Meyer had gone to Georgia. Or Herman, or any of the other hot playcallers.
