Rosenbluth went to HS in Virgina
He was from an ACC state
UNC only recruited players from ACC states because we felt we produced the best basketball players USCe was the first ones who brought in players who went to HS's not in ACC states

Pete Brennan, Tommy Kearns and Lennie Rosenbluth were all New Yorkers who played on Frank McGuire's national title team in 1956-1957. Rosenbluth was from Brooklyn. You are outright lying about UNC not recruiting Northern kids. Y'all did it before we even knew what basketball was.

Your thesis is an outright lie. Frank McGuire found success at UNC in the same manner as he did at South Carolina: he recruited tough players from NYC who were good ball handlers and played suffocating defense. And while Rosenbluth played at Staunton, he was a New Yorker. It made sense for McGuire to bring NYC kids to Chapel Hill, as you could not recruit blacks at the time.

Jewish kid from Brooklyn who could play his arse off.
Next to Chamberlain the best in the land that year.
He went to the famous Staunton Academy for his high school education.
And he was a good guy, signed autographs by the hour. So I was told.
