Being below 40% doesn't mean one is "terrible," but the elite shooters are typically above that mark. JR Smith is shooting slightly below the mark, and so is Malik Monk. The difference is obvious.

Nice pivot. Let's get back to what you originally said.
JR Smith - 37%
Monk - 39.5%
So we can round 37 up to 40 but we can't round 39.5 up to 40? You don't think Monk is capable of hitting two more threes than he did? Because that would put him at 40.
