If we would have done any ONE of the following we wild have had it

Beat Missouri
Beat Mississippi State
Beat Florida
Beat Kentucky
Beat Oklahoma State
Beat Florida
Beat Kentucky

Every meaningful game we had, we lost. And then lost a couple bad one's to boot.

I don't disagree, and that's pretty well what I have to tell myself to not let Hog fandom keep me down. That said, a certain degree of luck is required for many teams to make it to a respectable post-season position in any sport. The Elite 8 would have reinvigorated Hog fans everywhere. We would be eager for next season and would go into our upcoming shitty football season in high spirits.

But, nope. That's not the way it goes. Ever. We get to chew and seethe on that stolen game, and then we get to hope and pray that Bielema's brain has finally adjusted to the change in air pressure down south and remembers how to win football games again.

I agree with that line of thinking- we made our bed early.

That said, I am pretty proud of them. They could have easily quit after that bad run during the season. I had given up, they didn't and played really good on down the line. I have that NC game on my TiVo. I want to watch it again. Hopefully, the rest of the sting from that loss will subside soon and I can watch it. We played so damn good soooooooooooo for such a chunk of that.
