And did this have anything to do with the sudden departure of our assistant coach on seemingly bad terms?

That's Bob Simon, who came to Bama from Providence. You can't help but worry just a bit.

How far reaching will this FBI thing be?

I guess it depends on how much they want to invest in it. They don't have to chase down every loose end to break the system. It looks like they've got Addidas in the cross hairs. Of course, Nike and Under Armor are doing it too, but if they move it high enough up the food chain then the cost to Addidas could be in the hundreds of millions if not billions. The company itself could potentially even face criminal sanction.

That would have a chilling effect on the other companies involved - and that's where all this money comes from to fund the entire system. So, at least for a while, they'll cut way back or completely end their operations and you've 'burned the system to the ground' without actually having to involve many more programs and players.

Family member worked in the FBI

Said with a public coordinated arrest likes this, they are more or less done with info/leads they had This was the conclusion of their investigation/ don't have enough to pursue more

He said that Sometimes unexpected twists/info comes out to allow them to continue. Just they likely don't have much more cooking

I don't see why Nike would even get involved in this. They have Jordan Brand, KD and Lebron. They have the market cornered for the most part when it comes to basketball.
