I came down with it about 4 weeks ago. Laid me low for a week and I wanted to kill myself. It was miserable.

You aren't kidding! I'm back to work tomorrow after having been sick as hell the past few days. I'm still not well off but I can't waste any more PTO. Norovirus can gtfo. Hope no one else gets this shite.

I didn't get a flu shot. I will next year. However, the stomach flu (norovirus), isn't actually a strain of influenza, so a flu shot doesn't help at all. I have not come down with the norovirus in YEARS and I hope that I never have to deal with that shite again.

Back in January, I got it my birthday weekend. Laid me out for four days. About a week later my son got it along with Strep so that was fun.
Then a week ago, the whole house got the stomach flu which was horrid!!!!! Fun times in the Downer Dawg house.
Yeah the Doc told me that they missed the A strain in the flu shot this year which is what I had.

Norovirus ran straight the frick through UGA this winter. Had me on my arse out of nowhere. I would only wish that ailment on the worst of my enemies.

quote:No flu shot and I work around a hospital and haven't been sick. Haven't ever had a flu shot either. Co worker got the shots this year and he has been sick for like a month and just now about to get over it. Hadn't been sick in 15+ years.
Did y'all get vaccinated?
