Horford was a greedy SOB

Horford's making a whopping $5 million per year more than Howard. Btw, we had Bird Rights on him, so we could have made our FA moves and then given him as much as we wanted.

Also, we wouldn't have had to pay him as much as Boston was paying him if we hadn't signed Howard. He was very vocal that he wanted to come back to Atlanta. We signed Howard to send the message that Horford was being shitcanned and then offered the big $$ after we already knew he was pissed and leaving. Same PR shite Riley did with Wade in Miami.

If Al really wanted to be in ATL, he would be in ATL as the hawks gave him a very wealthy offer, but he split over a small fraction of $. He simply refused the hometeam discount. We essentially chose Milsap over Al, which was the right choice. The howard for horford swap has been a wash IMO.

As for the falling back you speak of, our 2017 record is nearly identical to the 2016 record at this same point in the season. The dropoff at PG is playing the biggest role in our decreased scoring differential imo. That Teague/Dennis combo was among the best in the NBA.

It's not Howard's job to coach the team up. The dude is an elite rebounder which is exactly what killed us in the playoffs against Cleveland. Tristan Thomson should send al horford a thank you note for his big extension. Between pero and horford I got sick of seeing our C jacking up 3s and not hitting the boards. Howard isn't the problem. They shouldn't have traded Teague nor should they have given basemore that stupid contract. They are making hardaway jr the next overpaid guy right now behind Carroll and baze.

With the win over the Raptors last night, the Hawks are now 36-29, which was the same exact record when we lost to the Raptors on the same night last year.

Same exact record at 65 games for those counting at home. Also had the same exact record at 40 games. As you can see, the major changes on our roster haven't exactly made things as bad as branch wants everyone to believe.

With that said, I doubt we will match the 48 wins of last year.
