Grier did fine (he never actually played for Muschamp), and we're officially on his first quarterbacks. He did fine at CSU. Did fine at Bama.
He does well with quarterbacks, and right now his recruiting is picking up.
Do we put you on suicide watch like we did with TJ?

For the millionth time I will climb on this soapbox and let everyone know that the run game is the most important thing we have to improve on...we have been miserable the past few years and finish at or near the bottom of the SEC in rushing offense. That cant happen no matter who the QB is.
I suspect we will be much better this year due to the experience we finally have on the OL AND the talent at RB to get the tough yards and also break tackles for long gainers....which demoralizes a defense.
Running the ball well does many things: you eat up clock and rest your defense, you move the sticks and make third downs manageable for your QB, you can throw when you want to...not because you have to...you keep the LBs/safety wary of the run game and any fake handoff works to freeze them for a split second and thats all some of our WRs will need to be able to come open.
The past few years we have gotten away with being a poor run team because we had one of the best defenses/kicking games in the country to cover up our anemic offense.
And dont kick Del Rio just yet...he may be the QB we need to bridge the experience gap with QBs who have never taken a college game snap before.
