The season 3 opener also had very good camera work. I also liked the extended Cinnabon scene to open it.

I liked Mike's breakdown of the car.

I liked the confrontation with the airman.

Go back and watch Mike's opening segment. It's all thematically connected with lines.

-opens with the guy playing the word search game
-lines of letters containing hidden words (horizontal, vertical, diagonal)
-the word being circled is "trajectory"
-definition of trajectory is about paths, lines, courses, from one point to another
-a metaphor for how we are finally finding out how the Mike we are introduced to in Saul came to work for Gus Fring as we know from Breaking Bad
-they're showing us his trajectory
-all the camera shots and settings and landscapes are bisected horizontally or vertically by lines
-the out of focus lights across the skyline, the centerline markings of the road shown going by, the electrical power plant is all lines, etc
-they beat us over the head with lines in every shot
-start looking for the lines. You'll see them

-the theme also bleeds over into Saul's segments in this episode too
-with the WM logo he paints
-simple lines forming the first letters of Wexler McGill
-he asks the secretary if the lines are straight and there's the obvious joke about his lines being crooked
-he also makes a joke about it looking like a stock market crash
-another metaphor for this series of lines symbolizing his trajectory
-trending down, as we know, towards the serious criminal he will eventually become
-also remember that he painted over the happy rainbow to put up the trajectory metaphor

Lines, dude.
