RIVERDALE, Ga. — JJ Peterson, the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker from Colquitt County High School in Georgia, had coaches from Alabama and Auburn at his spring game against Drew High School on Saturday.

The 4-star recruit shined in front of Tide defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, as well as Tigers DC Kevin Steele and linebackers coach Travis Williams. The Crimson Tide lead for Peterson, who doesn’t have a timetable for his commitment.

Colquitt County coach Rush Propst told SEC Country after the game that Peterson is one of the best players he’s ever coached. Propst has coached for more than 20 years in Alabama and Georgia and has coached the likes of former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson and ex-Florida standout WR Chad Jackson.

Watch Peterson’s spring game highlights in the video above, which was created by SEC Country.

KENNESAW, Ga. — Justin Fields is rated as the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat quarterback prospect in the Class of 2018, and he sure looked the part on Friday night.

Fields, a 5-star prospect from Harrison High School (Kennesaw, Ga.), shredded Kennesaw Mountain’s defense. Harrison’s offensive line is very inexperienced, but Fields’ escapability proved to be fruitful for the Hoyas as he led them to a 36-0 win in their spring game.

The Elite 11 finalist has been committed to Penn State since December 2016 but several SEC schools are pushing to flip his commitment. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and LSU are hoping Fields changes his mind before he enrolls at the school of his choice in January.

“They are just saying they can do big things with me at their school and can compete for a national championship,” Fields said. “A lot of these schools are telling me that I have the ability to play early there, too.”

SEC Country was in attendance for Fields’ spring game. Check out the video above for his highlights.
