James Clemens produced three 2017 SEC signees, and one league member is getting a head start on a newwave of Jets talent.

Ole Miss offered 2019 quarterback/safety Jamil Muhammad and 2019 defensive tackle Daevion Davis today.

The Rebels offered Muhammad (6-foot-2, 208 pounds) as a safety, James Clemens coach Wade Waldrop said. Muhammad took over as the starting quarterback last season after the Jets opened 0-2. He went 8-2 and helped James Clemens advance to the second round of the Class 7A playoffs. Muhammad completed 48-of-114 passes for 503 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has a strong arm and showed ability to do damage with his feet when leaving the pocket.

Davis (6-2, 300) will be counted on to anchor a defensive front that is losing LaBryan Ray (Alabama), Michael Sharpley (Kennesaw State) and Jeremy Garth.

James Clemens' other 2017 SEC signees were defensive back Kyriq McDonald (Alabama) and linebacker Monty Rice (Georgia).

KN put up a VIP article on 4* LB Channing Tindall yesterday. Apparently the Tigers have started recruiting him harder. Travis Williams visited yesterday and apparently he told Tindall this past Saturday he wants to talk to him every single day. When he last visited we were recruiting him both as LB and a Buck but now only LB. He wants to visit for Big Cat Weekend on June 3rd but not set in stone yet. He mentioned a top group of Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame & South Carolina. AU has some work to do to catch teams like UGA & SCAR because we just haven't been recruiting him that hard though Tindall did point out he likes fact Williams is from South Carolina and went to his high school.

My best guess is with Harris probably going to commit to Ohio State soon and Quay Walker to Bama (though Tindall might be above him on our board) we are turning heat up on Tindall who is probably #3 or #4 on board behind Harris & McClain. I would be happy with LB pair McClain and Tindall. Both are sub 215 lbs but are two of the fastest LBs in this class. Tindall put up a ridiculous SPARQ score at NIke regional in Atlanta and McClain apparently has been one of few LBs to consistently cover RBs in drills designed really to make RBs look good. We will see what happens
