Supposedly Emory didn't stay at FSU long today. Good sign for us.

Steve Wiltlong said that Van Jefferson had a real good time in Gainesville this weekend too

He was a super high 4*. Would love getting him.

However, perhaps the most significant news for the Gators, considering Corral’s de-commitment and the overall uncertainty at the position under Mullen, was the surprise arrival of five-star dual-threat quarterback Emory Jones.
The Franklin, Ga., native has been verbally committed to Ohio State since July of 2016, but sources close to Jones indicate the 6-foot-2 quarterback prefers to stay closer to home. And it helps that Jones’ family has long been a fan of UF, too. While Jones did make a trip Saturday night to Florida State, those close to Jones believe he felt pressured to give FSU a fair evaluation under new coach Willie Taggart, who believes Jones is the ideal quarterback to run the high-octane offense he envisions running in Tallahassee.
As if that weren’t enough for Florida fans to keep track of, Wednesday also marks the first day for junior college transfers to sign letters of intent to become mid-year transfers. If Mullen’s previous recruiting cycles are any indication, the Gators will likely be in for some surprise additions in the next 72 hours.

Not even remotely worried about his visit to FSU. No OC, no QB Coach super late to the game -- they have nothing that we don't have outside of less playing time and he wouldn't be shopping around if that wasn't what he wanted.

Are y'all recruiting Trey Dean as a safety or a corner?
His recruitment has been bizarre.

Don’t know, hopefully we are telling him whatever he wants to hear.

I believe Huggins was being recruited at Corner, no idea with Dean. All I know is that we need more DBs no matter what.

Recurring Dean as a Gator that can pick his spot. We need ballers right now! Losing experience in the back end.

Transition year new coach very different style then what we were running assistant coaches are about = to what we had and not strong recruiters. Just hope we don't sign a bunch of 2 and 3 stars just to fill roster spots let's give them a year (hopefully I am wrong about not being good recruiters ) and hope they get a monster class next year.

Would love to see a few JUCOs that are already grown men and shaving every day. The problem we have is the admissions dept is very strict and every I dotted & Ts crossed.
We can only recruit a few of them and they will need academics in order. Look at the big 12 and their rosters are full of JUCOs...but look at Iowa St, Texas Tech, Kansas and K State as examples of the academics.
