Yeah, the thing that I've heard repeated the most for this class is they want to see the results on the field. First year coach hype has worn down, lets see what he can do.

I am thinking he needs to win 10 this year, along with the East, to quiet the doubters.

What are you thinking?

They may be saying that, but it generally doesn't work that way. Usually, results on the field show up in the following year's recruiting class. Right now Kirby is reaping the results of last season, and by the time he has a chance to change that perception, a lot of these kids will have formed close relationships elsewhere. It's hard to change their minds late in the year, unless you play like Auburn. If we do well this season, maybe win the east, it'll probably have more impact on the 19 class than 18.

What Smart should be doing is turning up the heat on some plan B guys. Georgia is always loaded with under the radar players who turn out to be pretty good. If Smart lets that group get away too, he risks putting a big talent hole in his roster for the next three years.
