Watts is usually spot on. That said, the appeal and allure of "home" is hard to pass up.
The location of announcement is interesting. Not sure if it hints at something or if it's just fans over analyzing it.

According to Shea Dixon Watts is guessing, which is uncharacteristic of him. Until the national guys and Shea flip their CB I remain confident it is the Tigers. Shea said as of last night it is the Tigers.

It seems Mathis wants to go to Bama, but his family wants him at LSU. We need another Landon Collins situation.

As of right now nobody knows what he's gonna do. LSU and Bama both feel confident and that is evident by all the Bama writers predicting Bama and LSU writers predicting LSU

I don't even know how good this kid is but Bama needs DL badly. Hope he picks Bama but on Bama board they're saying family is leaking it will be LSU.

He's pretty solid. Will work well as a 3-4 DE at Bama or LSU. Both schools will offer the same amount of playing time.
Really comes down to which school he feels more comfortable with

Agree. I think the amount of talent piling up at Bama is starting to catch up as far as some kids being afraid to see the field. I know the coaches do a good job of selling the lack of depth at key positions. Hopefully it helps sway him Bama direction. Bama has elite talent in this class my fear is did they fill positions of need.
