Here's the deal cock boy: LSU made college baseball something to care about. Skip Bertman proved that baseball could produce revenue and generate excitement.
How many schools have upgraded their facilities since LSU became a power? It's not just the SEC. The ACC, the Big 12 and Pac 12 all care as well. The Big 1G, midwestern and northern schools don't care because they are at a disadvantage with the weather.
The bigger question is why do you care? Did you care about hoops before your recent success at the women's game or the modest success you are enjoying now? The Gamecocks have never been to a Final Four. LSU has been to four.
Of course, lets not forget about South Carolina's rich history in football.
