So did I for that exact same reason.. and it doesn't help that you we're walking up a hill to the Russell House but it's so subtle that you don't even notice it until you get up there and look back to realize you walked a mile uphill basically


The all you can eat cafeteria breakfast at Bates was SUPER clutch on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a night out with your friends though. I nourished many a hangover there. Russell House had great cheese grits most of the time though so if I was really feeling like punishing myself I would take that painful walk up the hill.

I can probably count on both hands the number of times I actually ate dinner at Bates though. We usually walked up to RuHo or ordered delivery if we felt like splurging that particular night.
