People like the simple, emotional, Skip Bayless type narratives.
Agreed.

Dak's had a phenomenal rookie year, but there is a reason no rookie QB has ever won the Super Bowl, and there is a reason that most rookies that have breakout years have a sophomore slump once the league learns their tendencies.

Absolutely. I also don't want to sound like I think Dak was bad by any means. When I said overrated, I meant to the point of saying he's already surpassed vets in the league. For a rookie, he's been fantastic.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of a slump next season as well, but that's kind of expected.

Maybe he didn't make all of these mistakes, but he certainly made some.

Also agreed. Some mistakes I thought to myself, a vet would generally avoid that mistake. That's not a shot at Dak, that's just a matter of experience.

That type of scenario doesn't exist within the Cowboys organization and if Romo went back in, the locker room would have been a mess because it would have felt like it fricked with the momentum, and that basically would have made it reality
Oh yeah. I understand why they stuck with Dak, because it makes a lot of sense based on chemistry at the time and what not.

Correct, but the players loved what was working. The players didn't know best.

It is what it is. The future is bright though for Dallas at least.
