It's clear now that you can't defend that level of play with just the defense. The best defense is keeping him on the sideline.

When I saw at halftime that Clemson ran 45 plays in the first half, I told my father in law that Bama's D would be gassed in the 4th quarter

In most respects, the Alabama and Clemson teams were pretty equal except for Clemson's obvious advantage at QB.

There were just a few too many execution errors that killed a few of our drives. And, there's always questioning of play calls and adjustments we could've made. As they say, hind sight is 20-20.

All of that said, one thing I just did not get is why we went hurry-up so much. Imo, we should've been using as much clock as possible between snaps, especially after Bo was injured. Such an easy change to make. And if it had been made, we likely would've won.

That loss stings a lot. But, the good news is Bama had a GREAT 14-1 season, even with a true freshman QB. Just 1 play, 1 second, 1 mistake shy of an undeafeated season and National Title. Bama is still THE standard of excellence in CFB and the future is very bright.

Yep. You could see it coming early in the game, which is what makes it more frustrating because we knew what we had to do on offense yet we couldn't do it.
