All that matters is how Alabama plays on Monday night against Clemson, but multiple people in and around the program have told me that the Tide were as crisp and dialed-in offensively earlier this week in practice as they've been all season.

- Clemson gives up 4.80 yards per rush on 1st down. That's 77th in the country.

- Clemson gave up 3.60 yards per rush against P5 teams

- Clemson gave up 4.04 yards per rush against T25 teams

Against S&P+ Top 25 Rush Offenses (Non-Auburn as they were awful until October)
#2 FSU - 163 yards, 5.82 YPC
#3 Pitt - 156 yards, 4.73 YPC
#10 Louisville - 273 yards, 4.96 YPC
#23 Ohio State - 88 yards, 3.83 YPC

FYI - We are #9

Even Ohio State, with that clunker of a performance, averaged almost 4 YPC.

This isn't a great rush defense, at all. And against us - that's a bad place to start.

FYI - here are our worst rushing games this season by YPC

Western Kentucky - 124 yards, 3.18 YPC
LSU - 216 yards, 4.24 YPC
Auburn - 203 yards, 4.61 YPC
Kentucky - 173 yards, 4.68 YPC

People need to stop referring to the Pitt game for a confidence builder. At this point, it is meaningless. Remember when Ohio State lost to a 6-6 Va Tech team in 2014? No way in hell they could beat Bama if they lost to a 6-6 VT squad.

And sure enough, they beat us.

I'm not saying I'm not confident, as I am. I like what I'm hearing coming out of the practice reports. But people using the Pitt game as a fall back as to why we're going to win is just dumb.

It appears to me Clemson is peaking at the right time, I really wonder though if they'll be Able to maintain that energy. The Ohio State victory was pretty emotional, but then there's a revenge factor in their minds, so more than likely they will work hard to stay focused

Bama wins 34-31
