Agree with everything Nguyenning said 100%. Mazzone is an upgrade from spavital, but let's be honest that's not hard to do. We ran the ball more and used the middle of the field on passes (although still not as much as I'd like) and did it with a transfer QB that is just average and a rebuilding offensive line.

Now just because of the two hamstrings I mentioned doesn't mean he gets a pass for us still not having a good 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 play. It is not that hard to QB sneak for a yard or less. It's incredibly frustrating to see us fail at it once or twice and then abandon it after that. Also the bow game was the first time I saw the run-pass option work, that play should have been trashed in the first half of the season. Also still a few too many screens that we never execute well.

At the end of the day I'd give him a B- knowing he didn't walk into the best situation player wise. He's got plenty of improving to do and I guess we will see what he can do this year.

And why for the love of everything good why can't we teach receivers to come back to the ball???

Instead of risky jump balls or over the shoulder catches, why not run out 15 and break back for 5 for an easy 10???? It's was there for the taking with Josh's speed
