Recruiting Class Question

One the big failures of past recruiting classes has been the inability to keep the vast majority of the class of in the program until they go pro or exhaust eligibility. Granted, some players experience things out of their control.
As an outsider looking in, it appears Alabama is able to keep their kids in the program. I know for a fact there are measures taken to keep them out of trouble.
My question is, do you think Kirby will be able to keep his classes entact for 3-4 years? Also, does anybody know if Alabama has the same issue we have had in the past or not?

Bama doesn't kick kids out for being arrested. I think Kirby will follow this philosophy.

To start, I think a large part of that is accountability both on the part of the players being accountable to the coaches and, more importantly, to one another. This all comes back to culture. Whereas under Richt guys were more or less left to their own devices, under Saban it seems that someone is policing that group at all times (be it S&C staff or senior leaders). Only time will tell but I think the tight-knit nature of this 2017 class will yield the kind of results we hope for in this regard; guys need to have fun but also need to know when to reign it in. Past groups have only known when to keep pressing their luck until someone outside the program called them on it.

I have heard that Saban does a better job than anyone of knowing where all of his players are 24/7 (apparently except when Cam Robinson went back to Louisiana) and if a player is as much as late to class they are running steps the next morning. If its deemed the player is never going to be a contributor he simply gives them more slack in their rope and lets them hang themselves.
Richt had the harshest penalties in the SEC. Crowell got in trouble for what? Pulled over smoking pot and a gun under his seat with the serial number filed down? Cam Robinson gets caught smoking pot with a stolen gun. One would assume a stolen gun and a gun with the serial number scratched out are the same thing. Given Crowell had a reputation of trouble and Cam may have been a perfect student athlete I don't know. Richt kicks Crow off the team, Saban says this is a first offense we are going to help the young man and make him attend drug awareness classes and blah blah blah.
You have to wonder if recruits ever thought "If I go to Georgia and make one mistake I am in big trouble but other schools it won't be such a big deal" On the other hand a lot of moms may have liked coach Richt because he loves Jesus and will keep their baby from being around a bunch of pot smoking trouble makers.
