Why would any SEC fans want Clemson to win?

They keep raiding SEC states of talent. Clemson has the #1 recruit from Tennessee committed for 2017. They've gotten top two recruits from the state of Georgia the last three years and have the #1 player in the country from the state of Georgia committed for 2018. And it'll only get worse if they beat Bama in the national championship. I can easily see Dabo building Clemson into a recruiting behemoth who regularly gets top recruits from Florida and Mississippi and Louisiana and Texas and even Alabama. Clemson's success is bad for SEC football.

I'd rather Bama just win another. Hell why stop now? I don't think I could take Dabo running his gums about winning a national title all off season.

Why would anyone want to see Saban get #5 for Bama and continue to raid all of our states for talent. Hell we lose more recruits to Bama than Clemson.
I would be on the Bama side if it were OSU on the other side but I can tolerate Dabo for now. Bama fans are already so high their noses are bleeding. They need to fall back some and remember the 2000's...

Other than Higgins we haven't had a problem with Dabo's attempts at raiding (he's gone all out on TN recruits for several cycles and finally got him a big fish) *but* I see them winning as a potential headache. Bama, OTOH, isn't going to increase their recruiting prowess or media exposure by winning -- that's already there.

Last LA recruit Dabo "stole" was a 2 star. Didn't even have an offer from us IIRC. frick Bama.

At work it's an interesting dynamic.
The Division Commander is a Citadel graduate whose kids go to Clemson.
The Division CSM is from Alabama and is a HUGE Tide fan.

Has it occurred to you that Alabama might be running off the "SEC" talent? They can only have 85 Scholarships...Once Bama has the players that they want the rest of these highly talented players want to go to schools that can compete for Championships.
Thanks to the CFP (Which was created in part to the Bama/LSU replay in the BCSCG), players can shop outside of the SEC...

The perception of a strong SEC is good for the conference as a whole. I generally root for SEC teams, and have rooted for Bama in the past. I can even see myself rooting for them in the future, but not now. Bama's dominance is becoming just Bama's dominance and not a representation of the SEC as a whole anymore.
It was different when LSU, Auburn, and Florida were also winning championships, it was just the next team up. Bama winning another one only hurts the rest of the SEC and helps them raid us in recruiting.

Hell no. I am pulling for Clemson all the way here. I can't remember the last time Clemson stole a Louisiana player. Saban is stealing them left and right.
