well...actually anything close to Atlanta is not what it was 20 years ago...but I prefer west........my mom lives in Carrolton...brother in Dallas...Grandmother in Temple...friends in Bremen...its nice out there..growing up...I actually lived in Douglasville for a while...it was different then...20 years ago and all that...D'ville is the ghetto now and I hate even driving through it.

I also like Coweta and Meriwether and Pike...other grandmother is in Senoia

I've looked at that side of town, have family in Dallas, Bremen. The problem is I work on the other side of ATL. The schools are also quite sketchy.

I agree with this. We live in Bremen and love it. Bremen City Schools are consistently ranked top 5 in the State along with Buford and Jefferson City Schools. Carrollton and Tallapoosa are good choices on the West side as is Villa Rica. Douglasville is not desirable as far as residing there but still okay to go to the mall or to shop/eat. I can leave my office in Atlanta at 4:00pm and be home 50 miles away before someone going to Woodstock, Canton, Cartersville, Johns Creek, Suwanee, etc. can get within 30 minutes of their home. Really love escaping the congestion everyday as I drive into town.
