A genuinely quality troll, imo. tRant could us more on this level even though I'm a bit confused as to why Aubie of all schools would be behind it and prefer not to be the subject matter.

To answer your question as honestly as I know how... Of course fans think it's a damn shame it's been that long and would've like to have seen something wayyy earlier. At the same time we've also had a bad run in general and one that's been an anomaly when the totality of UT football is looked at. Back to back to back to back bad coaches have that effect and those asshats have accounted for at least half the time in question. Our AD hasn't been decent/competent the entire time (well at least since 02). We dearly miss Doug Dickey.

And we've done no better in hiring ADs (If you take a real look at UT - football is not the only thing that's suffered in this time frame). Not by a long shot.

I think we'd go a long damn way towards righting things if we hire Blackburn as AD. This dry spell has corresponded with a dearth of Tennessee people at Tennessee as well as folks with strong ties (we went from decades of UT people in charge in some manner or another to running away from a formula that worked -- hell even the non-Tennesseans were immersed enough to where they might as well have been Tennesseans/those with prior familiarity) and Blackburn would go a long way towards helping fixing that too.

That said, UT fans are always restless. Always.

Totality of football?

As for missing Tennessee people, it isn't a coincidence that Tennessee's best years were when the Tennessean Roy Kramer was running the SEC and conspired with Phil Fulmer and other Tennessee administrators and boosters to kill their bitter rival at Alabama.

"Alabama will be out of business in 2 years" the secret witness Phil Fulmer told recruits. Since then, Fulmer can't get a job and Alabama has won 4 national titles.

Karma is good and just.
