My brother actually told me the same thing this past weekend, pretty much how he learned. Sometimes it takes a few times to drill a good idea home with me

I might have a shot in a few months with it as work through him, so I figure to streamline how I do things(instead of slow and stubborn).

It really is the best advice to learn when you're getting started.

Hell, design and photoshop is a little more intuitive but programming is the same way. Half of the job is googling shite, even when you're pretty good at it. You may know how to code but you'll still have to read each API's docs, still have to stay up to date on constantly changing libraries, still have to run down each problem's unique solution, etc. it's just how it works.

In this kind of thing, accepting that and staying patient and then learning to be smart with your googling is more than half battle, even if it's just for fun. If you keep that in mind, you'll start figuring things out left and right before you know it.
