Georgia did that too, and yes they were nationally relevant in 2012. The East was loaded that year too with UF and USCe among the 7-8 best teams in the country.

Yep. The 2012 SEC East had three great teams and a solid Vanderbilt team. It was the 2011 SEC East that wasn't all that good (South Carolina probably was better than Georgia but they managed to blow the division).

Yes, the SEC East hasn't been good lately, but let's not completely ignore that it was pretty good not too long ago. The downturn has been in the last three seasons including this one (2014-2016).
