some would say that if the Dolphins would have let him get Brees instead of Culpepper, he would still be in miami.

As a bigger LSU fan i wish he had stayed obviously, the Saints could never win another game and i wouldn't give two shits.

That's my biggest question with Saban. I have major doubts about his QB evaluation skills. He's recruited two top-level college QBs in 15 years at LSU and Alabama. Those two QBs are obviously JaMarcus Russell and AJ McCarron. Jalen Hurts looks like he'll be the third but the jury's still very much out on him. It's really hard to win championships with Matt Mauck and Jake Coker-level QBs in the NFL. It's not impossible but it's very rare and you usually need a staggering amount of defensive talent to do it (2000 Ravens, 2015 Broncos).

OK forgot hindsight for a minute and consider this: you can sign 1 of 2 QBs; 1 just had knee surgery and 1 just had shoulder surgery (throwing arm)...who do you pick? Yep Culpepper every time

I don't care what the charts say. Drafting larry culpepper was stupid
