Exactly. They didn't want a ground swell of fans, alum, donors stepping up to support Miles like last year. They didn't want to give the media weeks and weeks to report on what a great man Les Miles is, and why he shouldn't be fired, etc.

Alleva/Alexander screwed the pooch royally last season with how he drug that crap out and let the media run with it.

This year they made a quick, deliberate, and totally unexpected blow of guillotine and cut out Les.
