Team was young, there are promising aspects, there are very negative aspects.

The real 800 pound gorilla though is the recruiting. That is in a total valley right now, the SEC move doesn't seem to have generated any more avenues, in fact it looks like it overall may have hurt recruiting.

Without that aspect coming into play it's not realistic to compete with Florida/Georgia/Tenner and whoever the west throws at them annually. The athletes are too good, and at some point may even be well coached.

As long as we are in the East we will need to recruit Georgia and Florida. It will take time. Just need to find the diamonds in the rough and build relationships just like we did in Texas. It wont happen overnight but there is no reason to not think it cant happen. Im glad the staff is making an effort to focus on Texas again. They are also pushing into B1G territory some more selling the SEC as a border state.

The AD is dead set on improving facilities which has a big impact on recruiting.
