What's a bad season?
Somebody gets arrested. There's a rape. Some embarrassing bullshite happens. KA losses control.
Or we just don't win that many games?
If it's just that we don't win many games, and some other factors are positive I don't think it's a bad season.
Nobody is expecting this roster to win. The idea is to make sure the undercurrent of the program going in a positive direction.
That said, even if things are moving in a positive direction Kim's job won't be safe unless something crazy happens and they have some major wins. They'll be eyeing an upgrade after this year or next even with KA doing an okay job -- and if that's what ends up happening Kim did what he was brought here to do.

Mizzou needs a coach that can keep the 7-8 legit P5 players on this roster together. Keep Roberts in 2017. Then get some of Watson, Gordon, Bishop Lathon in 2018. Then land Leech and McKinney in 2019, as well as a big man.
Do that and 2019-2020 could be good. Current freshmen would be seniors, underclassmen would be higher levels of talent than what's here now.
