That's what this committee has been basing these selections on.
And before you say well Bama got a do over lost head to head no conference championship. That was poll driven.

Maybe not...but you could argue they've been the best B1G team since late October. If they beat Wisconsin, especially if they win big, the committee is gonna be squirming, particularly if both Clemson and Bama win. That'd give PSU a conference championship, a head to head win against OSU, and 2 big wins against opponents that OSU struggled with (Wiscy & MSU). I think OSU is one of the 4 best teams but the committee will have egg on its face, either way it chooses, if that scenario plays out. I figure the committee will be huge Wiscy fans today...

They beat OSU.
Big10 considered toughest conference this year.
PSU as Big10 champ is in. And they're good. They'd be 2nd in the SEC to Bama most likely.
OSU is SOL. They should have beaten PSU.
