After Tennessee pulled the original LSU, firing one of their all time great coaches in Fulmer, UTk has suffered from repeated failures that will permanently damage their fan psyche
Which coach is the biggest train wreck that hurt UTk the most?
Coach #1 - Lane Kiffen
Lane darted for USC despite some recruiting success + promising first season. In his wake, he left a path of destruction for multiple different issues
To add insult to injury, Lane has beat Tennessee three years running while OC at Alabama
Coach #2 - Derek Dooley
Derek Dooley may not have recruited, coached or anything substantial at Tennessee, but he sure didn't get their fans hopes/dreams up before cutting their knees out from under them
Coach #3 - Butch Jones
Butch Jones is just an awful coach, that somehow got the Tennessee fans drinking the BJ Koolaid because he can recruit. Unfortunately, he can't do much else and after three historic dumpster fire seasons of underperforming, he may leave for Purdue. He does have some sick dance moves though

They're all special in their own way. Kiffin set the program back 5 years, Dooley somehow managed to make it worse.
Lyle at least recruited well enough to get us out of cellar, but he's peaked. He'll leave the program in much better shape than he found it, which is more than can be said for the other 2.

What the hell Kiffin? He was celebrating then just ran into Crompton (?) and looked like he didn't want anyone to realize he had just obliterated his QB.

Yeah, Dooley by a million.

Doolander - more concerned about his clothes and shower etiquette than recruiting

Can assistant coaches count?... Sal Sunseri was one of the worst defensive coordinators to ever put on a headset.
