Because they have to hire a coach that is willing to risk their future coaching career by allowing their boosters to be the recruiting coordinators. Their boosters won't go after the big name because the big names won't let the boosters run the program. By boosters I mean Archie, the Blindside Crew and their minions.

The tuohy's adopted 5* son's high school football coach. The same high school football coach that was hired by ole miss in 2005 just 20 days after Oher signed. A year after that he was promoted to recruiting coordinator, and his co-recruiting coordinator was none other than David Saunders, who received a 10 year show cause last year.

They don't hire good coaches because they hire puppets.
