Sumlin hasn't been around for six years. A&M also was in the Big 12, SWC, or worse. This is a new ballgame.

You got Bama with a 30 coach "NFL" staff with former players on the practice squad and their is everybody else... That's just football.
Take a look at the entire athletic department. A&M is recruiting at record levels in every sport, but the SEC is a different animal.

Gene Stallings won a conference title in the era of Darryl Royal. Get that weak shite out of here.

Weren't we something like 17th or 18th in the nation this past signing day?

2014 and 2015 classes were strong but either they aren't developing or they left. We are losing a lot of starters this year off a defense that sucks. Where are all of the impact players from 2014 and 2015? We have a few but at least one is leaving early. For the most part they haven't really developed. That is a problem and a coaching issue.

With very good classes from 2014 and 2015 we ought to be "reloading" at a much much higher level. Overall sad state of affairs.

The one thing that is really irritating is that the stage was set for Sumlin in 2012. Had the excitement, the national presences, the momentum, etc... and we basically squandered all of that over the past 3-4 years.

From a perception standpoint, we are now about where we were our last year in the Big 12.
