I'm saying having a large, competent military force is defending this country indirectly.

I don't necessarily disagree with your second point other than "they" are the wrong group to point the finger at. To be fair, we stirred up a lot of problems over there but let's not act like there wasnt a large contingent that were terrible; I think the problem was exacerbated.

Imo a lot of our action over there is about money. Now we have an excuse to continue on over and a large part of our economy depends on it.

We really have no moral ground at all if we are putting our vets at risk for $. How is that different than any corporation using dangerous equipment, etc? We dont say our factory workers made a sacrifice etc.
