Do you think that LSU will stick with Coach O?

And aside from the fact that LSU didn't beat Bama last night, they hung in there and still played as good a game against Bama as they could at this time.

The question is can they get anyone better?

Big jobs could be opening in the next month.

If he does I'm going to have someone professionally hypnotize me to not only stop being an LSU fan, but not care about football in general

There are generally 2 types of HC in football. Ones that insert themselves into one or both sides of the ball and ones that manage the team and let their coaches coach.

The first type is really common. A guy comes in with OC or DC experience and basically becomes the HC-OC or HC-DC and hires an OC or DC in title only to help out and assist.

The second type is a traditional upper management type like in a corporate environment where he may or may not be a guru on one side of the ball but either way his philosophy is to make great hires, be a cheerleader and motivator, be the face of the franchise, organize and delegate responsibility.

Coach Orgeron is the second type. Right now hes saddled with the players, playbook, coaches and philosophy of the previous head coach and OC. Hes handcuffed and no one will truly be able to tell what hes capable of until he has at least one recruiting class and an offseason of work and an offseason to install a new playbook and offensive style with an OC of his choosing.

The question is if he will get that opportunity. Who knows.

Never had the job. The ole miss stint will haunt him. That and....he's not a good coach. I wouldn't want him on our staff in any capacity to be honest.

Probably be lucky to keep him at this point.
