Most of that i would completely agree with.

quote:

Hurts completes some longer throws because receivers are so open. Hurt left a lot of yards off the stat sheet against Rocky Top because he couldn't hit receivers in stride.

I think technically this is correct but i would argue that is the coaching staff making him be absolutely sure we have wide open WRs before throwing the ball. He doesnt really ever throw a WR open or throw it ahead of time. Rather he could if he was allowed to we just dont know at this point. He is a true freshman so he gets a lot of lead way. He isnt asked to win games with his arm, at least not yet. He does have many, many other great attributes that are way beyond his age. Will be awesome to see him grow over the years.

I appreciate all the Bama fans' analysis. That being said, and my point maybe dissolved after the LSU v Ole Miss game, but I think LSU's defense is the best Bama will face in terms of matchups.

I know LSU has lost twice (I was at Lambeau), but the LSU defense has not been the reason LSU has lost. Contrary to some LSU fans, I think Dave Aranda is the best DC LSU has had since Saban was coach. LSU has only given up 5-6 TDs. You can argue competition but if you understand the game you see that Aranda is quietly building a great defense with great athletes. If LSU beats Ole Miss and plays great defense, which I think will occur, then I think Nick and Lane will be up late at night before the game in BR.

This is wishful thinking. Saban has said repeatedly we have to work on getting the ball out on time. I can promise you, nobody is encouraging him to hold onto the ball until the receiver is wide open. You don't teach people how to pass by teaching them how to pass wrong.
