While true, there is a big drop off from #1 or #2 class in the country and the #12 class.(Again not aimed at Samrt, only at arguments being mad)If depth is our problem, why isn't it Clemson's? I know we have losy almost an entire class, but they have 2 and 3* players as backups while Alabama and Ohio State has 4 and 5* players.

That's my whole point. A QB cannot elevate the team but so much. Clemson hasn't recruited anywhere near the other two teams.
