Read this

And then there is this

quote:

By then the Tigers hadn’t earned a first down. The first one came on their next series, their eighth possession overall. After two long runs by Ish Witter, Lock unloaded a pass for tight end Sean Culkin, who ran an out route to the left sideline. Wilson was covering outside receiver J’Mon Moore along the sideline but peeled off Moore and snatched Lock’s throw. Like Tabor just 2:11 earlier, he raced to the end zone. It appeared Moore was supposed to clear space along the sideline for Culkin to catch the pass but Wilson squeezed past the wideout to snag the throw. "I’m not going to throw anyone under the bus or say anything," Lock said. "I’ve got to take care of the ball."

Saw a replay of that pick and it was totally on Moore. He knew he wasn't getting the ball. He was pouting and didn't put any effort into the route he was supposed to run. I don't see how the coaches can allow this effort and then look at the rest of the team and ask them to play hard.

Also look at the bullshite he displayed at the end of the first half vs LSU.

He's talented, but he's the same immature malcontent he's always been and he completely folds when things aren't going well. He's a cancer that should have been cut out before the season.

Get some lotion for those rock hard hands & some baby powder for his rash.

Was he one of the offensive players that Wilson talked about laughing and joking around in the 4th quarter?

Have to admit he was the first player I thought of when I read that quote.

If we don't have better on the bench one really has to question our recruiting

What to do? Fer Chrissakes, you sit his arse and tell him, "You apparently don't have the right attitude to play on this team."

And that goes for several of the players.

You bring in the number two and say, "Let's see what you can do." If needed, you bring in #3...Then the tallest trombone player from marching Mizzou.

This is simply a life lesson. If you don't cut it, no matter the job, we'll try someone else.

When I read that BO had them circle-up and hold hands, I realized he has no fricking clue. Next, they'll sing "We shall overcome" at half time.

Time for tough love. Holding hands...indeed.

mubobby just dropped some bombs over on TB about J'mon. Said J'mon is a total punk during practices, too. He doesn't run his routes. He doesn't listen to coaches. He picks fights. Etc. mubobby said he doesn't understand why the coaches are refusing to address the problem.

This program is completely FUBAR'd.

Sadly, I think we'll just be waiting this mess out and hoping for the best on the other side.

I've been saying this ever since the protests. J'Mon is a cancer to the team. Has he done anything good since he stepped on campus? He's started a protest that put us back 20 years, drops 75% of passes thrown to him, got in a fight last week vs. LSU, doesn't seem to care about anyone except himself, and quits on the team when things don't go his way. Not to generalize, but this is why I think WR is one of the most invaluable positions on the field. Most WR's are divas like this guy and OBJ, and are only there to make an arse out of themselves and embarrass the team.

Yikes. I wasn't even paying attention to the game at that point so I likely missed that then.

Moore is a conundrum, but one easily solved. Quite frankly, he isn't talented enough to overcome:

1. Very poor catch technique and butter fingers
2. Lazy routes
3. Excessive pouting when he isn't getting the ball
4. Lazy blocking

I miss the days of our WR trio in 2013. Lucas, DGB, LdWash. They LOVED to block. Lucas especially. Lucas pancaked DBs and even LBs. Those WR trio was as unselfish as they come. Go figure our offense usually worked at breakneck pace and usually successful.

Now we have guys like Moore who don't do the little things, on top of being physically non-intimidating. Our WR corps are composed of a bunch of slender guys.

Which is why I keep advocating more involvement with the big TEs who have long arms and are crazy tall.

I think the offense would honestly be better if Lock STOPPED looking to Moore for the first read, second read, maybe even third read. Use him as a decoy if he doesn't pout. I dunno. He seems selfish and petty, so that may not work.

In any event, the WR scheme also needs to be improved. That Baylor system of one or two WRs just staying at the line as decoys... more intelligent Ds seem to know exactly where the ball is going.
