Are we recruiting/developing WRs?

Had a similar discussion with my boys on development.

I think past coaching deficiencies are impacting the product we see currently. In 2013 the combination of the best collective talent we have had and an easier conference slate inflated our perception of what Missouri truly is. In 2014 we started to see the foundation start to shake, but getting to Atlanta to be crushed by Bama gave us another glimmer of hope. And then the foundation just falls in 2015. I think that falls on coaching and development on the field.

Two questions I have:

1. If Zeke chose Mizzou, would he still be a first round draft pick leading the NFL in rushing?
2. Harbaugh tried his hardest to get Lock when he got the job, our boy stuck with us. Is Lock a different QB under the tutelage of Michigan's coaching staff?

I believe the answer to both of those questions are not flattering to Mizzou and what we do in Columbia.

Great post. I was thinking about some of the same things this week.

- Does Lock regret not going to Michigan? He got thrown to the wolves here and is drowning.
- As much as I can't stand how Ezekiel Elliott and his father have gravy trained for Ohio State, you can't argue that it was a great move for him.
- Jeff Thomas would be out of his mind to come to Missouri over Alabama. The worst that could happen there is he has to share playing time on his way to SEC and National Championships. Here he could potentially never see a winning season. But at least Odom has his EStL quarterback locked up, so we've got that going for us.

This team needs to use the last six weeks to find an identity to recruit to. Right now they've got nothing.
