I dont know, but I think he has played better than most. He was getting pressure on Trubisky, and has has sacks in back to back SEC games now. Lets hope he gets sacks every game now.

I'm not saying the NFL doesn't look at potential, but you have produce at the college level to get drafted high. If Carter wants to leave to be a late round pick sure it's possible, but it would not be very smart. Usually guys that are leave early going in the first 3 rounds.
Keith Marshall was a much better player than Carter prior to his injury, DOMINATED the NFL combine and is barely hanging on to a roster spot.
Jamarcus Russell had a good junior season and took LSU to the SEC championship game his final season. He produced in college. His production was no worse than a guy like Stafford's, but he just didn't put in the work after getting drafted.
