Les has recruited well. He had to endure the Katrina years, Nola still isn't back to the population it was pre Katrina.

He also had just the best 3 years any coach has had if going by rankings.

I'm not totally discounting Les's recruiting record any more than I would discount his W-L record. It's almost as easy to recruit at LSU as it is to win 9 games a year.
