Gator fans will hate me for this, but as much as I talk shite about the man, he had some bad luck at Florida. Went 6-6 his first year, 11-1 his 2nd year, the wheels came off in year 3 when we were down to 3rd string walk-ons against GA southern. I mean, you might as well have put me out to play MLB at that point. And his 4th year he was forced to run an offensive system that wasn't his philosophy with players that weren't a fit for the system.

UF is a high pressure job where if your not winning 10 games a year and playing for SEC titles and Natties, your gonna have a bad time. Obviously, USC has lower expectations. If he gets them bowling again and continues pulling recruits, its a success. 1 or 2 10 win seasons a few years out and they'll put a 60 ft tall poster of him on the side of the stadium.

I think if you let him get his system in place and he learns to recruit offensive talent that fits the system, he'll turn out fine for USC.

Either way you can't fire him now that you've got him. Gotta give him 3 years at least unless he crashes a motorcycle or kills a hooker or something.

It is always refreshing when you see a good post with good logic and reasoning.
