We usually leave the area for a few days when there is a catastrophic storm coming. We don't all stay in the path of the storm, get together and hold hands while the thing pummels us. There is nothing you can do about what happens to property during a hurricane, and anytime I've evacuated, we've looked for anything to take our mind off of what might be happening during the storm. What will be will be, but as long as you're not where the storm can take your life, everything will be ok. Life goes on. Worrying doesn't prevent anything. With that said, I hope everyone in the Florida area remains safe.
