Let me start by saying I supported the change last year. It was time for UGA to have a new coach.

With that said, you are off in your history of UGA football IMO. You say "UGA football turned around in 1997" so let's look at 1997 through the day Richt got the job.

1997-2000 UGA went 35-13
During Richt's last four years UGA went 40-13

Looks similar. In fact, both were 12th best in the nation.

Not that I have a stake I this argument, but that doesn't really support your assertion.

Absurd to compare.CJD had losing records to AU,GT and UT,ZERO SECe titles and
beat a grand total 1 team ranked in the top 20 in 5 years or 4 for the sake of the argument.

CMR beat 3 alone in '14 and 2 top 12 teams in 13 (including a top5) 2 SECe titles,
and OWNED GT and AU.

The program was completly out of control with JD and the inmates running the asylum
