What are some of the worst officiated calls between SEC teams you've ever seen?

I recently came across this play. It's from the 2001 Auburn - Vandy game. Vandy receiver attempts to catch a pass, bobbles the ball out of bounds, and the ball hits the ground in front of the ref. He calls it a touchdown. This would probably rank in the NCAA's top 10 worst calls of all time.

This would typically be an off-season type thread, but I wanted to share before I forget about it again.

- 99? @LSU: MSU down at 1 and rolls in Endzone
- 09 @Bama: PP7 interception
- 06 @AU: Early Doucet waived off PI
- 06 @AU: Hester 4th down fumble to incomplete
- 04 @AU: AU extra extra point attempt

Something about the state of Alabama. You'd think the SEC office was located there or something

LSU-Tenn 2006. Tenn player returning a punt touched the ball and LSU recovered. Refs ruled it didn't touch him. This ruling came after instant replay clearly showed the ball chambed tragectory from hitting his arm.

The 2009 Florida-Arkansas was the most biased and horribly officiated game that I've witnessed.

1996 UT at SCAR. SEC wanted Peyton and UT to win so the conference could have two teams in BCS bowls. Gamecocks sack Peyton, he fumbles, we take it back for a TD. Refs call it incomplete pass.

That on top of six or seven pass interference calls that were clearly not pass interference. Made our secondary so angry they were threatening to kick some ref's arse ... rightfully so, but ended-up with a couple two or three more unsportsmanlike conduct calls against them. I think every member of our secondary ended up in the NFL and a couple of them had long careers. That was a helluva secondary.

It was so bad we put the game under protest before it was over. I remember Mike McGee coming down to press level and heading straight for the coaching booth ... he was pissed. He was screaming on the landline at someone in BHam ... everyone could hear it. All the coaches in the booth were throwing stuff ... I mean it was something to behold.

I think we had over 100 yards in penalties that day but the SEC and the refs accomplished their mission ... Tennessee won.

Karma kickback the next week in Memphis though where the SEC had no influence on the refs ... and Memphis upset UT.

Peyton Manning is such a fricking crybaby. I know of no Gamecock fan that was old enough to remember '96-'97 Peyton's whiney arse that likes that little puss.

LSU @ Auburn '16. Officials don't even say what they're reviewing on the last play, and re-rule that a whistle should have ended the game before the play started, even though that's not reviewable.

UF beat UK 2 years ago in the exact same scenario and came away with the W.

Not 100% on the rules but how can you review whether or not a whistle for dead-ball should have been blown?

Pretty much all SEC teams hold Myles Garrett and get away with it. Otherwise, it would be holding on every play (which it is).

First offensive series for Bama in 2012 game at LSU. The line judge throws a flag against Bama for holding. Ritter on his own judgement picks up the flag and announced their was no holding.
