Does Bama give out pistols as part of the "signing bonus"?

But its not the law

Alabama requires no permit to carry a weapon unless its concealed, and his charge doesnt say anything about it being concealed, which was entirely different statute with different penalties before open carry became universally lawful. I'd be surprised if they changed the wording of the conceal carry statute just because the open carry statute changed.

I'm curious what the circumstances of this are.
